RICHARD WILSON EXHIBITION AT THE SAATCHI GALLERY

Before christmas I went to the Saatchi Gallery and saw this amazing exhibition by Richard Wilson, here are some of the photos I took while I was there. The ground floor was filled with oil that created a beautiful reflection. This changes the room and gives it more light and depth which is really interesting. It was incredible that something as simple as a liquid like oil can have such an impact on a very empty space. Also the fact that you could smell a exhibition before you could even see it made you want to go see it more. I found this quite weird to be a the Saatchi, I think thats why I liked it.

I thought this was interesting for our project as firstly it shows the impact that a liquid can have and what a surprise it can be to the viewer. Also the fact that it is oil which fits in with some of our research on polluted water. Also I liked it because it smell as unlike more exhibitions it involved more than one sense which made a really exciting impact around it.

idea based on research

I based this idea on the research that i have done and everyone else in the group. I know we aren’t meant to think of ideas this early in the process but i just wanted to share it while i was thinking about it. i had the ideas based on finding typography that involves water and the fact that i love type made out of crazy things. The idea is to have glass letter containers that are full of water that represents how much we use and waste.
